the last week or so has been rough. i kept wondering what God what he was trying to teach me and it wasn't til today when i stopped everything to listen to him that he spoke to my heart. when i read Psalm 23 today, i got a small picture of what life is all about, why we go through hard times, and what our role in this world is.

1The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
3He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
for his name’s sake.

4Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

5You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.

this passage really said it all for me. u see some times we get so caught up in our life that we don't stop and give God the glory he deserves. in verse 2 it says [He makes me lie down in green pastures]. some times God just has to bring us bake to Him and make us lie down and reflect. i think this reflecting time is when God really talks to us and fill us up again" like He did for me today".

so thats just something that God has shown me in the last few days and i hope that you dont get too caught up with life that you miss the big picture. so take some time to reflect on what God is teaching you. =)

That was really encouraging! It goes right along with what I was talking about yesterday with a couple of other girls. About listening to God, and trying to sort out all the other voices. How it takes time to learn how to tell the difference between what you whant and what God wants. Thx!

thats the truth! we need to sit and listen to God and what He is trying to teach us wether life is really good or we are depressed cuz it isn't going our way. like it says in the Bible we need to be joyful in all circumstances and ready to do what God asks! thx for the reminder . . . and btw: purple skittles suck!!!

I just found your blog and this is a really old post, but I just found it and I completely agree. I think it is amazing how you are such a good Christian. I am very strong in my faith as well, and I think this post is so encouraging. I feel like we all have those days where we wonder why things are happening and why things just aren't good. But in all reality, God has the ultimate plan for us and we should all remember that. Take a chance each day to remember that God has a plan for us and everything will turn out for the best in the end.
