the last week or so has been rough. i kept wondering what God what he was trying to teach me and it wasn't til today when i stopped everything to listen to him that he spoke to my heart. when i read Psalm 23 today, i got a small picture of what life is all about, why we go through hard times, and what our role in this world is.

1The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
3He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
for his name’s sake.

4Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

5You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.

this passage really said it all for me. u see some times we get so caught up in our life that we don't stop and give God the glory he deserves. in verse 2 it says [He makes me lie down in green pastures]. some times God just has to bring us bake to Him and make us lie down and reflect. i think this reflecting time is when God really talks to us and fill us up again" like He did for me today".

so thats just something that God has shown me in the last few days and i hope that you dont get too caught up with life that you miss the big picture. so take some time to reflect on what God is teaching you. =)
